My name is Jill Gammill and I am the 6th grade Social Studies and Writing teacher for Florence K-8. My teaching career began in Florence about 3 years ago.
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a teacher but my desires changed when I graduated high school. I really wanted to work in the Public Relations area because I felt I was really good with people and I was also a social butterfly! It was perfect for me. I received my bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. It was there that I met my husband and he was acutually one of the many people that influenced me to teach. The big turning point for me was after volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I really enjoyed working with kids and becoming a mentor to them. So I went back to school and I received my masters degree in Teacher Education from The University of Phoenix. That was one of the best things I have ever done! I love to teach!
Currently, my husband I, are living in Florence with our two daughters. We love the town, the climate and the community. When I have the free time I enjoy running, traveling, swimming, attending church and shopping!
